POSITION
The Alpine Fitness Waldcamping is located in Foiana, an idyllic climatic resort at an altitude of 700 meters in South Tyrol. The small hamlet, a part of the municipality of Lana, is located in a restricted traffic zone between Merano (about 10 km) and Bolzano (about 25 km). Surrounded by chestnut groves, vineyards and forests, the campsite offers breathtaking views of the Adige Valley and the Dolomites. The surroundings are ideal for hiking, walking, and biking tours. for example, to the Passo San Vigilio, a walking trail, or to the region's many castles and historical sites.

ACCOMMODATION
The campground covers more than 2.5 hectares of hilly, wooded terrain and offers three different categories of pitches, which differ in location, size, and amenities.

The small pitches are approximately 30-50 m², are partly sunny, partly shaded, and consist of a mix of gravel and grass. They have electrical connection and drinking water in the immediate vicinity.

Standard pitches measure about 60-80 m²; and are located on sunny or shady lawns or terraces. These also have electricity and water connections (direct or nearby). Tents or sleeping mats are not allowed on grass pitches for reasons of lawn protection.

Spacious comfort pitches, from 80 to 120 m²; offer an especially large space. They are located on sunny or shady terraces and are made of grass or a mix of grass and gravel. They are also equipped with connections for electricity and water, either directly on the pitch or nearby.

STRUCTURES AND SERVICES
Right at the entrance is the reception desk, where guests can check in and receive information about excursions and laundry tokens. Right next door is the small, nicely furnished bar and store, where drinks, snacks, ice cream, coffeeè and various items for daily necessities are available.

The campground offers two modern sanitary buildings, one of which opened in 2019. They are spacious, hygienic, and functional, and have received up to 4.5 stars from camping guides.

In the warmer months, guests have access to a large outdoor swimming pool, open from May to October, reserved exclusively for camp guests. Children can have fun in the forest playground, while the scenic trail inside the campground, with its fantastic views, invites relaxation.

A summer highlight è the South Tyrolean-style barbecue shack, a popular gathering place for weekly pizza and barbecue evenings.

Right next to the parking lot is a designated dog run. Free bags for collecting canine excrement are also available. Dogs must be kept on a leash inside the campground.

ACTIVITYÀ AND RECREATION
The campground è ideal for those who want to spend their vacations actively. Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails start directly from Foiana through the picturesque landscape, passing historic castles and traces of past cultures.

In autumn, the region celebrates the traditional Törggelen, a convivial festival centered around the chestnut tree, with typical South Tyrolean dishes and new wine. The small farming museum in Foiana, open from Easter to All Saints' Day, offers fascinating glimpses of rural life in the mountains.

The region also has much to offer in winter. The nearby ski resort of Monte San Vigilio è can be reached in just a few minutes by cable car and is a real treat for those seeking peace and quiet, snow hikers and families.

The area around Lana offers a wide range of leisure activities, including sports activities, cultural experiences and culinary specialties: perfect for a varied vacation in the heart of South Tyrol.
